The Tennessee Department of Education extended learning programs is seeking qualified peer reviewers for the Lottery for Education Afterschool Program (LEAP) grant competition. Qualified applicants will evaluate proposals for the LEAP grant that will begin with the 2020–21 program year. The peer review process is designed to ensure each grant is objectively awarded on the quality of the application.
Selected reviewers must be available to participate in a reviewer training via webinar on June 26.
After training, reviewers will work independently to read, evaluate, score, and provide detailed comments on each section of the application. Reviewers will have approximately 14 days to complete the review process for up to 10 applications. Reviewers must be available to participate in post-review conference calls July 15–17 and July 20.
Once the scores and review materials have been completed, each reviewer will be paid an honorarium of $100.00 per application. Prospective peer reviewers must complete a conflict of interest statement before being hired.
Interested persons can apply by:
- completing the online LEAP Grant Peer Reviewer Application, and
- submitting a curriculum vitae or resume via email to Extended.Learning@tn.gov.
The LEAP Grant Peer Reviewer Application and all supporting documents must be submitted by June 22, 2020. Potential reviewers will be notified by June 24.
Questions about the peer review process can be sent to Extended.Learning@tn.gov.
