Take the Challenge – the Lights On Afterschool #LightBulbChallenge. Take a picture of your staff and students imitating the Lights On logo, make a video of someone having fun with the logo, or post a selfie of yourself imitating the logo (you may need some help with that one). You can even take a series of pictures and post one every day leading up to October 24. The key is to have fun and tag someone (or an organization) to challenge them to post a picture.
October is a busy month, so not everyone has a chance to attend a Lights On Afterschool event. That’s why Lights On Afterschool has this digital event to ensure that everyone who wants to celebrate afterschool programs gets a chance through the Lights On Afterschool Lightbulb Challenge.
Every year, LOA challenges friends of afterschool across the country to take a photo of themselves mimicking the Lights On Afterschool logo (as seen in the photo above) and post it on social media with the hashtags #LightbulbChallenge and #LightsOnAfterschool. Then, participants challenge their followers to do the same!
Post your photo, and help keep the lights on afterschool for hundreds of thousands of children who rely on these programs for a safe space to learn and grow!
